Richard Goldschmidt

Richard Goldschmidt (1878 – 1958) was an American geneticist who emigrated from Germany. Goldschmidt advanced a pseudoscientific evolutionary hypothesis where macroevolution was postulated to occur through macromutations. Goldschmidt's evolutionary hypothesis is often popularly referred to as the "Hopeful Monster" hypothesis.
