Faith is a concept common to many religions that means trust or complete confidence in something unseen. The term lacks a precise definition. In English the word comes from the Latin word "fidere", meaning "to trust".
The concept of faith exists in nearly all major religions. Faith is mentioned in the New Testament, the Old Testament, and the Koran. Faith is also a well established part of so-called "New Age" religions, such as Wicca.
