Dust vs. Condensation

How much of a cloud is dust and how much is condensation? Good question. I think it varies depending on the type of cloud and how high or low it is in the atmosphere. Scientists actually have a hard time agreeing on a definition for a cloud and where it actually starts or begins. Vossyspeak 20:47, 13 April 2007 (EDT)

I didn't see anything about "dust". Rain clouds are made up of water (either drops or ice). A "dust cloud" is something different. --Ed Poor 21:34, 27 April 2007 (EDT)
Water vapor condenses around dust and other small particles. ColinRtalk 17:51, 2 May 2007 (EDT)

I'm watching a documentary about clouds, and it says that cosmic rays are really subatomic particles. These particles combine with water vapor to form droplets. --Ed Poor 17:48, 2 May 2007 (EDT)

I would question that. Cosmic rays move so fast that I don't see how water could condense around them. ColinRtalk 17:51, 2 May 2007 (EDT)
