The Scottish town of Stranraer is the major ferry terminal linking the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

It is situated in the local authority area of Dumfries and Galloway, in the south-west of Scotland.

The town is named after Saint Ranraer, a companion of Saint Columba and one of the founders of the Celtic Christian church.
