Catholicism in Crisis later shortened to simply Crisis is a journal founded in November 1982 by Catholic layman, political scholar Michael Novak. It is published by Notre Dame Press. According to Time magazine, Novak was inspired by the neo-orthodox theologian Reinhold Niebuhr's similarly titled journal Christianity and Crisis.[1]
