How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom on CBS. It is narrated in the year 2030 by elder Ted Mosby (Bob Saget) as he slowly tells his children the story of how he met their mother. The comedy follows the younger Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor), his best friend Marshall (Jason Segel), his fiancé Lily (Alyson Hannigan, of American Pie fame), their attractive friend Robin (Cobie Smulders), and their wealthy, womanizing, liberal and gambling-addicted friend Barney (Neil Patrick Harris).
