Muslim United Nations (MUN) was established in 1980 and the organization's charter written by its founding chairperson Ehsan Sehgal. The main purpose of Muslim United Nations is to unite the Muslim states and establish a common Muslim Armed Forces, Muslim National Bank, and Muslim National Court of Justice.[1]
MUN has a literary wing and has granted awards to individuals based on their contributions to society, in academic areas such as linguistics.[2]
