Xucar or Jucar, is a river that flows trough Valencia, in eastern Spain, which rises near the source of the River Tagus, and after a course of 317 miles falls diminished into the Mediterranean Sea, most of its water having been drained off for purposes of irrigation in connection with orange-gardens on its way.[1]
