Kiel is the capital and with 240.000 inhabitants the biggest city in the German state of Sleswick-Holsatia. Kiel is a port city on both sides of the Kiel Fjord, an inlet of the western Baltic Sea, and lies at the eastern end of the Kiel Canal.[1]
