Lumia Browser is a free-to-use web browser produced by Lumia Technologies which is based on Internet Explorer. It is designed to be simple, and easy to use, and for this reason, tends to be appealing to new users.[1]

Advantages

  • Simple layout and functionality
  • Addon system is not available, to protect from adware/malware plugins[2]
  • Tabbed browsing

Disadvantages

  • Not very customizable
  • advertizement blockers are not available
  • Internet Explorer engine has been known to have issues displaying some websites
