The Thunder Bird is a mythical creature in many Native American traditions. Although connected to lightning and thunder, it is usually benevolent. In some legends, the Thunder Bird is purely spiritual; in others, it has (or is entirely) a corporeal form, and may fall to the arrow of a hunter.
