In peer instruction, students who already have some understanding of a concept teach it to other students.[1] This not only helps to teach the less knowledgeable individual(s), but also helps the peer instructor to better grasp the concept they are speaking about.[2] Although this kind of teaching takes some control away from the designated teacher in many cases, this method generally proves more effective that traditional lecture-type teaching.[3][4]
