The Siege of Miletus was an action taken by Darius, the Persian king against the city of Miletus in 494 B.C. during the Ioanian Revolt of 499 to 493 B.C. Darius assembled a large fleet to cut of the city from contact with European Greece. Darius was successful after the Battle of Lade.
