Mallet

A mallet is a specialized hammer with a short handle and large head. Mallets can be made from a variety of materials, including rubber, wood and metal, and are generally used for more specific tasks than a general-purpose hammer.[1] However, some such as certain rubber mallets are used for general purpose tasks, as well.
