Young Earth

The idea of a Young Earth states that, based on biblical timelines and genealogies, that the planet on which we live is roughly 6,000 to 10,000 years old. This is in opposition to the view held by most mainstream scientists that the Earth is on the order of roughly 4.5 billion years old.
