Philippe De Loutherbourg

Philippe Jacques De Loutherbourg (Philip James de Loutherbourg) (1740-1812) was a French-born English Romantic painter, illustrator, printmaker, and scenographer. He became known for his set designs for London theaters. De Loutherbourg's works hang in museums like: Tate Britain, Fitzwilliam Museum, and Yale Center for British Art.
