Edited by Maureen O'Toole A colony is like a town raised by pepole working hard together each day. For an example Jamestown when it was in becoming a colony some of the men would not work at all! That is why it took Jamestown a long time before it finaly become a colony. First a colony then a state and finaly a nation.
