A supercar is a highpriced, high-performance automobile. Most supercars are produced in Europe, notably in Italy and Germany, but U.S. automakers have produced a few, most notably the Ford GT and the Dodge Viper. Supercars are almost always over priced, though some have outstanding performance and are usually purchased as status symbols by people.
