Vista print spooler

To restart the print spooler in Vista:

Try:

• Click the Windows Flag (lower left corner of screen, on task bar)

  Type "services" in the textbox of the pop-up box

  "Services" should appear at the top, under "Programs"

  If so, click it there, or ...

• Open Control Panel

  In the "System and Maintenance" section, scroll down to find "Administrative Tools" and click on it

In the Services window, you'll see around 150 items.

Try:

• A. Scroll down till you see it and click on it, or ...
• B. Click on any name and type "pr" to select Print Spooler alphabetically.

Use the shortcuts, or open the properties window

• Shortcuts

  You'll see some links like "Stop the service" and "Restart the service".

  Click "Restart" here, or ...

• Properties window
  • Click the properties button (3rd from left on the toolbar), or
  • Choose Action | Properties from the menu, or
  • Right click "Print Spooler" and Properties is the last menu item that pops up
