To restart the print spooler in Vista:
Open "Services" in "Administrative Tools"
Try:
- Click the Windows Flag (lower left corner of screen, on task bar)
- Type "services" in the textbox of the pop-up box
- "Services" should appear at the top, under "Programs"
- If so, click it there, or ...
- "Services" should appear at the top, under "Programs"
- Type "services" in the textbox of the pop-up box
- Open Control Panel
- In the "System and Maintenance" section, scroll down to find "Administrative Tools" and click on it
In the Services window, you'll see around 150 items.
Select "Print Spooler"
- Try:
- A. Scroll down till you see it and click on it, or ...
- B. Click on any name and type "pr" to select Print Spooler alphabetically.

Use the shortcuts, or open the properties window

- Click the properties button (3rd from left on the toolbar), or
- Choose Action | Properties from the menu, or
- Right click "Print Spooler" and Properties is the last menu item that pops up
