DNA base

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by DMorris (Talk | contribs) at 02:06, May 2, 2011. It may differ significantly from current revision.

DNA has four bases: adenine, thymine, guanine, and cytosine (ATGC). Adenine always pairs with thymine (AT), and guanine always pairs with cytosine (GC).

RNA bases are the same, except that uracil replaces thymine. There are cases where RNA does not conform to normal Watson-Crick base pairing.
