- Comment: Going down the Hiss rabbit hole is an interesting way to put it, given its relevance for today. Conservatives in his day blamed Hiss for recognizing the sovereignty of Ukraine and Belarus in the UN General Assembly and granting the USSR three votes (see Seeds of Treason, Ralph Toledano for example).
