Why isn't this mentioned?
She specifically said that "John Quincy Adams would not rest until slavery was extinguished in the country." To be fair, John Quincy Adams was strongly on the side of the abolitionists, but he had nothing to do with the eradication of slavery. This is something people should know about someone who could become our next president. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Esmith543 (talk)
- We must rush to put misspoken statements by a conservative in this encyclopedia? Meanwhile Egypt burns and our president is likely playing basketball.--Jpatt 18:25, 30 January 2011 (EST)
- Esmith543, did Michelle Bachmann say that understanding or preventing abortion was above her paygrade? Did she say to Hispanics of the need to punish their enemies? Did she tell a certain plumber that the wealth he would create would be taken away and spread around as she saw fit? Did she invent global warming? Does she stand for the National Anthem with her hands at her side? Or should we merely ignore all of that if they are done by a Democrat? Karajou 18:59, 30 January 2011 (EST)
