West Germany

West Germany is the colloquial name given to the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesrepublik Deutscland) prior to German reunification in 1990. It was formed from the British, French and American zones of occupied Germany in 1949, and the 'provisional' capital of the state was Bonn.
