Chivalry was the medieval code of behavior for knights. It mandated loyalty to one's lord and to God, and women were to be honored as the equivalent of the Virgin Mary. Tournaments were often held to knights could improve their skills. The Code of chivalry not only made good warriors, but also endeavored to make knights have high morals and strong faiths.
