A web browser displays web pages. Its most common use is to is a program used to load and display web pages on the internet.
Currently there are 5 main web browsers; Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Chrome. IE currently holds the largest "market share" in desktop browsing but this is being eroded by the independent browsers Opera and Firefox as well as Google's Chrome browser and Apple's Safari browser. Opera has the largest share of mobile internet browsers with their products Opera Mini, and Opera Mobile.
