Craigslist is a website with region specific discussion forums and community bulletin boards with classified ads. Despite its relatively short existence, it has become extremely popular as an alternative medium for advertising. 50 million advertisements for goods, services, and properties, among other things are posted every month. Most of these ads are free, with revenue derived from job postings and real estate in selected cities.
