Craigslist is a non-commercial community bulletin board with classified ads and discussion forums. It is very popular for the advertisement of goods, services, and properties, among other things. There is no cost to advertise at Craigslist; the site is funded through donations to the Craigslist Foundation.
The liberal media is generally biased against Craigslist because it offers a free alternative to newspaper's classified ads. Incidents of abuse on the site often make the headlines whereas the press rarely reports anything positive about the site.
Craig Newmark started Craigslist in 1995.
