Angels are the servants of God. Angels announce the word of God[1], protect God's people[2], and enforce God's will[3]. Throughout the Bible their are mentions of people interacting with angels and of angels intervening on behalf of people. We won't know the full extent of their works until we ascend to Heaven[Citation Needed].

Angel is also the title of a TV show portraying various occult themes. Demons, vampires, ghosts and other occult forces are shown regularly. However, there is some (controversial) reference to real-world morality. The title character is a vampire who regains his soul. Unfortunately this means that due to his past deeds he is destined for hell when he dies. He spends much time and effort trying to do good works in the hope of avoiding this fate. This suggests that salvation is possible through good works alone, and not through a relationship with Jesus, who is not mentioned. The show has drawn much criticism for portraying such an misleading moral message on nationwide TV.
