Brainwashing refers to methods of controlling a person's beliefs, ideals, or even thought.
It is a common plot element in science fiction, but the term is also commonly used to refer to extremely thorough indoctrination, such that a person is unable to think for himself.
The liberal education system typically brainwashes its students into believing in evolution, homosexuality, and atheism so strongly that they have great difficulty approaching the truth rationally.
