Dean, I realise that messing with someone else's talk page is not done, and so I apologise, but thought that on this occasion it was more important to say this.

Conservapedia is an important project, and it needs you. You have been a very active contributor, and an inspirational and fair minded sysop: we cannot afford to lose people of your calibre. I appreciate that your faith and attachment to the Mormon creed have led you to this, but I appeal to you to reconsider: stand up for your faith on this ground, as you have done so far and been a fine ambassador for your church; and return to help continue building up Conservapedia into a great force for good. You have done so much already: please consider how much more there is to be done. Thanks for reading! Bugler 06:09, 22 June 2008 (EDT)

Dean, you have my support as well as that of Learn Together. I have laid down some ground rules at talk:Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which I invite you to glance at. Please have confidence in me! I have an unbroken track record of success in every dispute I've mediated at wiki encyclopedias when I've been a sysop.

Mr. DeanS, I am in no way attempting to humiliate you or anger you. I am simply posting on the LDS church with material that is historically accurate. Now, I've studied this stuff for a while now, but I know that you are a Mormon and it is very possible that you know far more than I do on the subject. So, if you wish to discuss the edits, or are able to show me where I am wrong with documentation, then I'll take my stuff out. But, I simply wanted to clarify that I'm not trying to attack you. :: Given that your accusations against him are not self-evidently true (to me they appear to be totally unfounded), then you need to demonstrate that he is guilty of those charges.  Philip J. Rayment 03:07, 25 June 2008 (EDT)

:An apology is order, not a plea of guilty. This is not about justice but about courtesy. If you've ever raised kids (or taught them), you know that punishment is often less important than reconciliation. --Ed Poor Talk 08:32, 25 June 2008 (EDT)

::Philip, your policy of 'love the sinner' can be carried too far, whereupon it comes perilously close to reading like 'love the sin'. Bugler 09:00, 25 June 2008 (EDT)

Amen, good sir. I am a Catholic, and a Progressive one at that, and I cannot understand why others who claim to be Christians feel that it is their prerogative to declare whether my views on Jesus and his teachings are valid or not. I admire your stance. --IlTrovatore 00:04, 25 June 2008 (EDT)

: I accept that Catholics can be Christians, and I think I disagree with Ultimahero on that, but what I don't accept is what is implied in your comment, that we should accept as Christian anyone who claims that label regardless of whether their beliefs are consistent with biblical teaching.  [[User:Philip J. ::I think you should mind your own business, Philip.  It is directly contrary to the purpose of our site to provoke conflicts among different denominations of Christianity.  Such activity is  non-encyclopedic and can easily lead to falsehoods rather than the truth. Bickering between different religions without any clear connection to the purpose of our site has no legitimate role on Conservapedia. --Ed Poor Talk 08:27, 25 June 2008 (EDT)

:::Philip is correct here. If your beliefs do not agree with biblical teaching, then you cannot make a valid claim to being a Christian.  And I don't see how this is any more your business than it is his.  --Tim <small>(CPAdmin1)</small>talk  Vote in my NEW polls 09:11, 25 June 2008 (EDT)

::::Are you getting the stake and the faggots ready for an auto da fe, Tim? Bugler 09:15, 25 June 2008 (EDT)

:::::I don't appreciate your implication there, and in case you were wondering, burning at the stake is not consistent with biblical teaching either.  --Tim <small>(CPAdmin1)</small>talk  Vote in my NEW polls 09:35, 25 June 2008 (EDT)

The implication is that you would like to deny the right of expression here to Ed, who is seeking to minimise the conflicts between different branches of Christianity, and, by extension therefore, to promote your own views, which one might therefore define as sectarian. Hence the auto da fe remark. Clearly you wouldn't burn people now for thinking differently, but had you lived four centuries ago, who knows what your attitude might have been? ::::::I am not trying to deny the right of expression to Ed.  I was pointing out that it makes no sense for him to tell Philip to mind his own business, when he is in the same position as Philip.  I am arguing for my view, but I am by no means trying to censor anyone else.  I believe the Bible, and that was the same 4 centuries ago as it is now.  And I still don't like your implication.  --Tim <small>(CPAdmin1)</small>talk Vote in my NEW polls 09:57, 25 June 2008 (EDT)
