Dr. William Henry "Bill" Cosby, Jr., (b. July 12, 1937) is an American actor and comedian. He is famous for his roll on The Cosby Show, the highest rated show in television at that time, his Jello advertisements, his children's comedy cartoon Fat Albert and his comedy albums.

In 1976, he earned a doctorate in education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
