King Henry VI was the King of England, when he succeeded his father, Henry V, at only nine months old. His relatives and uncles ruled England in his early years, during which England lost hold over France. Henry faced rebellion during his years as king, thus beginning the long Wars of Roses. He was deposed by Edward IV and exiled to Scotland. He was captured and put in the Tower of London until he was freed and reinstated as King. He was again deposed by Edward and put back in the Tower, where he was murdered. It is likely that he was murdered by Richard, Duke of Gloucester.
