The Daily Worker was the official daily newspaper of the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB), founded in 1930. It was reliant on subsidies from Moscow, and in the post-WWII years bulk orders from Warsaw Pact countries helped keep the paper afloat. In 1967 it was renamed the Morning Star.
