Samson was a Judge renowned for his great strength. His long hair provided him with his strength. His weakness was lust, as was evidenced by his telling a woman named Delilah this secret. She proceeded to have his hair cut off by Phillistines, who also gouged out his eyes. Used as a slave entertainer, Samson prayed for his strength one last time, and collapsed the pillars of a building, killing himself and hundreds of Phillistines.
