The Gallikos (Γαλλικός), or Galliko river anciently known as the Echidorus (Ἐχείδωρος[1]; Ἐχέδωρος[2]), Cheidorus[3] that exists within the western side of modern Thessalonica before one reaches the larger parallel Vardar (river).

The name Gall-ikos also indicates the presence of Celts as Gall is the equivalent Greek word for the Latin Gaul and English Celt.
