Headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, the US Space and Rocket Center, part of the Smithsonian Family of Museums, remains the largest tourism attraction in the state of Alabama and attracts visitors daily from all over the world.
On July 16, 2019, the US Space and Rocket Center, participated in a world-record attempt - a global rocket launch in recognition of 50 years of man on the moon.
The Saturn V replica at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center has been restored through donations by the public (Rocket Protector Program) to match the real rocket’s glowing place in manned space flight history.[1]
