Abortion is a safe medical procedure, in which an unwanted foetus is terminated. According to a 2009 CDC study, 64.0% of abortions were performed at ≤8 weeks' gestation, and 91.7% were performed at ≤13 weeks' gestation. http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/ss6108a1.htm

I cannot find a neutral (Non-Conservative) source stating abortion causes breast cancer, in fact The National Institute of Health's, National Cancer Institute states otherwise. ((http://www.cancer.gov/types/breast/abortion-miscarriage-risk))

* A study by the Guttmacher Institute estimated that nearly 1.3 million abortions took place in the United States in 2002, equivalent to about 148 abortions per hour.<ref>Estimates of U.S. Abortion Incidence, 2001–2003, By Lawrence B. I also cannot find any neutral sources that empirically support the claims: 1: Abortion causes psychological issues, 2: Spain's leading cause of death was abortion (In-fact I found a 92 page European Union report on women's health, which talks of abortion in Spain on page 43. http://ec.europa.eu/health/population_groups/docs/women_report_en.pdf). I could not find ANYWHERE, literally ANYWHERE, that could empirically prove that "Nearly 80% of women who see an ultrasound of their womb decide against having an abortion"

You start off with a false premise, neither human nor biological life begin at conception, but rather biological life begins at fertilization. Fertilization happens about 2-3 weeks after the mother's last period. http://www.webmd.com/baby/guide/understanding-conception

Jump the shark much? The scientific consensus is human life begins when consciousness arises, which requires the development of the brain. According to the Baby Centre the brain begins to function at 11 weeks of pregnancy. May I remind you most abortions take place well before 13 weeks.(http://www.babycenter.com/0_fetal-development-timeline_10357636.bc) For the Sanctity of Human Life, your religious beliefs should not impede on others' rights to their own bodies.

Adoption isn't always a viable alternative, especially in the cases of rape, incest, severe birth defects, and injuries to the mother. Imagine if you found out your child had a birth defect that rendered it's lifespan less than a year. Would you want to make that child suffer a extremely painful and short existence. I know I wouldn't. I cannot find anywhere that touts the 1.5 million families looking to adopt.

Reasons for Abortions
 +
Some countries allow abortion only under certain circumstances.
 +

 +
The vast majority of abortions have nothing to do with rare occurrences of pregnancy by rape or incest or threat to the life of the mother.  Proponents of abortion, however, frequently cite those situations in order to seek unlimited taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand.  When proponents of abortion seek an abortion for "health" reasons, those reasons can include anything from psychological claims to short-term financial issues. See, e.g., Doe v. Bolton.
 +

 +
In fact, the average person creates wealth by earning far more money than he or she spends.  The average abortion reduces wealth both to the family and to society.  Financial considerations are against abortion, not for it.
 +

 +
Millions of Americans work at home and that option is usually available even to single moms.  In cases where there really is an inability to care the child, adoption provides a better alternative to abortion.
 +

 +
Aborting disabled children is a form of eugenics that was popular in the early 1900s (the founder of Planned Parenthood was a big believer in eugenics) but has since been discredited.

Abortion and the Bible

Educating others about abortion requires accurate information. Here are some important Abortion Facts.

Key Abortion Facts

For more, see Abortionfacts.com's Quick facts

 • A study by the Guttmacher Institute estimated that nearly 1.3 million abortions took place in the United States in 2002, equivalent to about 148 abortions per hour.[1][2][3]
 • When the number of abortions are included (as deaths of the unborn child), abortion was the most common cause of death in the United States in 2002. [4] (Heart disease, with 710,760 deaths, was a distant second.)
 • Abortion is the leading cause of death in Spain.[5]
 • "Forty-three percent of women obtaining abortions identify themselves as Protestant, and 27% as Catholic."[6]

34 years after Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court still has a pro-Roe majority. Moreover, since that fateful 1973 ruling, almost 50 million unborn babies have been aborted, and millions of mothers hurt physically, psychologically and spiritually... but a quiet revolution is under way... it is very visible down "on the street" – at the level of real life where women and girls make the desperate decision to solve their "problem pregnancy" by aborting...

And within many of those pregnancy care centers are the new "4D" ultrasound machines. When the abortion client lies down and experiences, for the first time, the reality of her unborn baby – and not a grainy, difficult-to-see old-fashioned sonogram, but a modern, crystal-clear image of her own baby – she does not go through with the planned abortion in the vast majority of cases. How the pro-life side will win the war

 • "fetus: the unborn offspring in the postembryonic period, after major structures have been outlined, in humans from nine weeks after fertilization until birth." Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary.
 • Abortion increases the risk of breast cancer in the mother
 • Abortion increases the incidence of infertility in the mother
 • Abortion increases the incidence of death by afterborn children in childbirth
 • Abortion increases the chance of premature birth in afterborn children, resulting in several injuries like cerebral palsy
 • Abortion causes severe psychological harm; many women begin to regret the abortion even before the surgery is complete

Nearly 80% of women who see an ultrasound of their womb decide against having an abortion.

Arguments Against Abortion

“

1. Since life begins at conception, abortion is akin to murder as it is the act of taking human life. Abortion is in direct defiance of the commonly accepted idea of the sanctity of human life

2. No civilized society permits one human to intentionally harm or take the life of another human without punishment, and abortion is no different.

3. Adoption is a viable alternative to abortion and accomplishes the same result. And with 1.5 million American families wanting to adopt a child, there is no such thing as an unwanted child.

4. An abortion can result in medical complications later in life; the risk of ectopic pregnancies doubles, and the chance of a miscarriage and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease also increases.

”

These four arguments are taken from:

"Ten Arguments For Abortion and Against Abortion, Abortion Pros and Cons, and Main Points of the Debate." By Linda Lowen, About.com [7]

Reasons for Abortions

Some countries allow abortion only under certain circumstances.

Bolton.

In fact, the average person creates wealth by earning far more money than he or she spends. The average abortion reduces wealth both to the family and to society. Financial considerations are against abortion, not for it.

Millions of Americans work at home and that option is usually available even to single moms. In cases where there really is an inability to care the child, adoption provides a better alternative to abortion.

Aborting disabled children is a form of eugenics that was popular in the early 1900s (the founder of Planned Parenthood was a big believer in eugenics) but has since been discredited.
