:I read the edit quickly and didn't notice it was a direct quote. I don't agree with the quote, because I don't think rock and roll came about as "white" music - I always thought its audience was much broader. I read the edit quickly and didn't notice it was a direct quote. I don't agree with the quote, because I don't think rock and roll came about as "white" music - I always thought its audience was much broader. I do agree about its roots though. --SharonW 14:56, 15 October 2011 (EDT)
