Morris J. "Mo" Brooks, Jr. (born 1954 in Charleston, South Carolina) is an American attorney and Republican U.S. Representative from Alabama's 5th congressional district. He defeated incumbent Congressman Parker Griffith in the primary, who was originally elected as a Democrat but switshed to Republican, and defeated Democrat Steve Raby in the general election. Brooks currently serves on the House Armed Services Committee and Homeland Security Committee.
