Norman Lear (b. 1922) is an American television producers known for his comedy shows that were popular in the 1970s, such as "All in the Family" (1971-79).
In 1981, Lear founded People For the American Way, a godless liberal organization that aggressively promotes anti-American secularism and feebly tries to discredit Christian political activity. In 2007 the organization had a budget of $13 million, mostly raised by direct mail, which it used to organize local chapters around the country, especially in university towns.
