A tournament is gathering of knights to practice their combat skills by jousting, group combat, and archery (medieval).

Nowadays, tournaments are held for every sport event and even have media-driven tournaments for non-sporting activities like eating food etc. A tournament maybe defined as any activity which a group of people take part and has a clear winner person or a team.
