Evil is defined as taking advantage of another person for one's own benefit. It is the opposite of goodness. Murder, rape, worshiping a false god[1][2], and blasphemy[3][4] are examples of objective evil.
According to Christian beliefs, Evil entered the world when Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil[5].
