Christopher Hugh Kawal Persaud is a Christian apologist and Bible Prophecy and Origins scholar who immigrated to the USA in the early nineteen-eighties. He was born in Guyana (then British Guiana). He is the author of Evolution: Beyond the Realm of Real Science. Christopher has been a financial services professional for many years, firstly in the public accounting sector in Guyana and more recently in the non-profit accounting industry in the USA. He is a qualified accountant, tax advisor and financial planner and also writes poetry, the latter some of which has been published in a number of American poetry anthologies. He dabbles in art and is an amateur photographer.
A deeply religious individual, Christopher is convinced that it was through God's providence that he survived a near-fatal motot vehicle accident in Guyana in 1978. Apart from a number of minor injuries, he suffered a broken leg and an almost severed hand in the accident. An account of the 1978 accident and the mention of other "miracles" in his life are contained in Persaud's 2003 book, God In Our Midst' (Xlibris Corporation, USA).
Persaud's other books include Famous People Speak About Jesus' (Xlibris Corporation, 2004); Transformed Lives (Xlibris Corporation, 2005) and Evolution: Beyond the Realm of Real Science (Xulon Press, USA, 2007).
Christopher lives in New Jersey, USA with his wife Pamela and their three sons Duane, Jason and Justin.
Shown below is one of Persaud's published, prize-winning poems.
They Tell Me'
They tell me
About wonderful things
About medicine
And things scientific
About how good it's going to be
They tell me
About the ending of diseases
About great new discoveries
Which will astonish the world
They tell me
About scientific advances
About our brilliant chances
For survival
They tell me
About space travel
About how we'll unravel
The secrets of the universe
They tell me
Do not linger
On things theological
For we came here by chance
Not by design and...
God is of the mind
They tell me
About life's ending
About our not going
Anywhere after we die
You'll live longer
You'll be stronger
You'll be happier
Just wait and see
They tell me these things
And expect me to believe them.
