John Cleese a British comedian and an original member of the comedy team Monty Python. After Monty Python John Cleese went on to create the cult classic comedy, Fawlty Towers in which he played Basil Fawlty, a pedantic and crazed hotel owner. The character was based on a real life person who managed a hotel that the Monty Python crew stayed at during the making of one of their movies.
