Mykhailo Drapaty was appointed commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on July 22, 2026 by Ukrainian dictator Volodymyr Zelensky. Drapaty has been on the wanted list in Russia, according to data from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. Drapaty is reported to be close to the Azovites, opposed to Gen. Oleksandr Syrsky, much-beloved by the Western media and the ‘liberal’ Ukrainians who support Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and hate Syrsky.
