John Adams was the second president of the United States of America, serving from 1797 to 1801. He was a federalist, and represented Massachusetts. Also, from 1789 to 1797, he served as the first vice president of the United States for George Washington.
John Adams was born on October 30, 1735, in Quincy, Massachusetts. His father was also named John, and his mother was Susanna Adams.
