Defeat NFL monopoly devises way to overcome the biggest monopoly in sports or entertainment: the $150 billion NFL. Each of its 32 teams is worth nearly $5 billion, in part due to government subsidies.
A new rival league could succeed with:
- Strong names for the league and its teams
- A rejection of political correctness
- Support of full free speech by players and coaches off the field, in contrast with the NFL
- Player ownership, in contrast with the NFL
- A point system that gives bonuses for long passes or runs near the end, thereby holding viewers
