2020 U.S. House election in North Carolina's 11th district
Bennett announced in December 2019 her run for U.S. House of Representatives to succeed House Freedom Caucus member Mark Meadows after the latter announced that he wouldn't run for re-election.[1] She is endorsed by Meadows himself,[2] the House Freedom Fund,[3] the Senate Conservatives Fund,[4] and the Susan B. Anthony List.[5]
Republican primary
In the Republican primary held on March 3, 2020, Bennett managed to garner a plurality of the votes casted at 22.7%,[6] but as no candidate won a majority, a runoff will be held on June 23, 2020 between her and Madison Cawthorn, who finished second place.
