Sir Kim Darroch is the British Ambassador to the United States.[1]
In July 2019, the UK's Mail on Sunday newspaper published some leaked memos, allegedly written by Ambassador Darroch. These were highly critical of President Donald Trump and his Administration.[2] President Trump announced he would no longer deal with the ambassador as a result.[3]
UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt said that the leaked memos do not represent the British government’s view.[4]
