Omarosé Onee Manigault (born February 5, 1974) is the director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison in the Trump White House.
Initially, Manigault was a Democrat. In the 1990s, Omarosa worked in the office of Vice President Al Gore during the Clinton Administration. The White House Personnel Office later transferred her to the Commerce Department.[1]
In 2004, Manigault was a contestant on NBC's reality TV Series, The Apprentice. She joined the Trump Organization and later appeared on Celebrity Apprentice in 2008. In August 2009, Omarosa enrolled at the United Theological Seminary in Ohio to pursue a Doctor of Ministry degree.[2] She was ordained on February 27, 2012.[3]
Manigault was director of African-American outreach for the 2016 Donald Trump Presidential Campaign. She was one of the nine members of President-elect Donald Trump's transition team.[4]
As a special assistant to President Trump, she has walk-in privileges — meaning she doesn’t need an appointment or permission to pop her head in and consult with the leader of the free world.[5]
